Responsibilities

Develop and customize generative-AI solutions from prototype through production ownership.
Identify and size automation and decision-support opportunities across customs and business processes.
Build LLM-powered retrieval, tool-calling, structured extraction, and agentic workflows for customs operations.
Define evaluations, regression criteria, and launch standards for AI solutions and monitor performance, latency, inference cost, and business impact.
Manage pilots and implementation, including criteria for scaling or stopping initiatives.
Collaborate with Operations, Transformation, IT, Group functions, Legal, IT Security, and technology partners.
Contribute to privacy, security, AI governance, and EU AI Act compliance documentation.

1–2 years of AI engineering, software engineering, or intelligent automation experience involving production LLM or AI features used by real users.
Strong Python and SQL skills with production code ownership.
Demonstrable experience integrating large language models into production systems, including prompt and context design, retrieval-augmented generation, structured output, and graceful failure handling.
Practical experience with at least one major cloud AI platform: Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex.
Solid backend engineering fundamentals covering APIs, data pipelines, testing, and CI/CD.
Strong communication skills for working with customs operations experts and professional fluency in English.
Preferred experience includes evaluation harnesses, regression suites, LLM-as-judge methods, human-in-the-loop review, context engineering, LangGraph, MCP, Temporal or equivalent orchestration frameworks, long-running agent workflows, observability, and inference cost control.
