Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve end-to-end test automation across UI, API, configuration changes, and critical workflows.
  • Design and maintain scalable E2E automation frameworks for multi-tenant and payer-specific workflows.
  • Build automated validation for deployment guardrails, release readiness, and production change safety.
  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows with Platform and DevOps teams.
  • Create automated coverage for authorization flows, partner integrations, file pipelines, feature flags, and configuration changes.
  • Improve test reliability, reduce flakiness, and provide actionable failure signals.
  • Define and enforce quality gates for production releases, blue/green deployments, canary deployments, and configuration changes.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to make business outcomes testable, measurable, and observable.
  • Improve test data management and environment stability for reliable automation at scale.
  • Mentor engineers on testability, automation practices, and quality-first development.
  • Partner with SRE and Security on production readiness, observability, and compliance expectations.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate test creation, expand coverage, analyze automation failures, and prioritize coverage based on production incidents.
  • Assist the manager with information-security activities and report policy or implementation issues to the Information Security Manager.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in QA automation, SDET, or test engineering roles supporting production systems.
  • Hands-on experience building UI and API automation frameworks from the ground up and creating repeatable datasets.
  • Experience with regression testing and developing test automations from test plans.
  • Deep experience with Playwright, Cypress, or PyTest using TypeScript.
  • Strong experience with REST-based API automation frameworks.
  • Experience validating cloud-native systems on AWS.
  • Comfort working with microservices and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience testing configuration-driven systems, feature flags, and environment-specific behavior.
  • Strong debugging skills across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers.
  • Ability to partner with platform and infrastructure teams on release pipelines and deployment safety.
  • Performance and reliability testing experience, such as k6, is preferred.
  • CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions or similar tools is preferred.
  • Healthcare or regulated-domain experience is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of information practices and ability to support information-security implementation, maintenance, policies, and procedures.
