Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain high-quality software solutions with minimal supervision.
- Lead architecture and development across Java backend and Angular frontend components.
- Break down complex features and coordinate design and implementation across teams.
- Create, review, and maintain architecture documents, technical specifications, code and API documentation, operational guides, and best-practice guides.
- Influence technical direction, engineering standards, software design, code quality, and long-term system evolution.
- Provide subject-matter expertise, mentoring, technical guidance, and code reviews.
- Ensure performance, scalability, security, availability, reliability, and maintainability requirements are met.
- Resolve complex cross-system issues involving code, infrastructure, networking, and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and platform teams to improve automation, deployment, CI/CD practices, and operational readiness.
- Drive automation-first approaches for provisioning, deployment, testing, and operational tasks.
- Embed security and compliance requirements into pipelines and environments.
- Anticipate customer and operational needs and improve reliability, deployment confidence, and time to market.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 15+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on enterprise systems.
- Strong expertise in Java, modern backend development frameworks, software architecture, object-oriented design, clean architecture, and design patterns.
- Proven experience with Angular and user-facing applications.
- Strong understanding and implementation experience for performance, scalability, security, availability, reliability, and other non-functional requirements.
- Ability to design and coordinate complex technical solutions across multiple teams.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, or similar version control systems and with Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or MS SQL and production data considerations.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with ethical AI principles, data privacy, responsible AI use, and AI-assisted developer tools.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development practices and experience working in distributed, multicultural teams.
- Strong communication, mentoring, stakeholder-management, coordination, and technical leadership skills.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Java applications that incorporate AI outputs into core business workflows.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Romania on a full-time basis.
