Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end verification of new features from scoping to release.
- Perform sanity checks against Duolingo release and branch builds.
- Develop clear, reproducible bug reports and partner with engineers.
- Maintain deep product expertise and serve as a go-to resource for teammates.
- Proactively identify quality risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Prioritize test efforts across multiple teams for learner impact.
- Evaluate features for correctness, clarity, and overall usability.
- Contribute to evolving QA processes, documentation, and standards.
- Collaborate within cross-functional teams and manage expectations.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a closely related field.
- Ability to relocate to New York, NY.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in manual testing for mobile and web applications.
- Experience in QA processes and UI/UX testing.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic familiarity with the Duolingo app and a passion for learner experience.
