Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) — AI-Enabled Quality Infrastructure

- Build, extend, and maintain API-level and UI-level automation frameworks used across multiple product scrum teams.
- Build and maintain GitHub Actions and Jenkins CI pipelines for end-to-end integration and regression suites.
- Develop AI-assisted quality capabilities for test scaffolding, failure categorization, root-cause summarization, flaky-test diagnosis, and intelligent alert routing.
- Troubleshoot CI failures, flaky tests, and environment issues while helping product teams unblock their workflows.
- Contribute to test-reporting and alerting infrastructure, including data pipelines, dashboards, and integrations.
- Collaborate with scrum teams to translate testing needs into framework features, CI improvements, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Review code and AI-generated contributions for reliability, maintainability, and developer experience.
- Document framework usage, onboarding guides, runbooks, and responsible AI-assisted workflow guidance.
- Advocate for and teach AI-assisted engineering practices to peers and partner teams.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of professional experience in software engineering, test automation, or a related SDET/QA engineering role.
- Hands-on practical experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools in real development work.
- Programming skills in at least one language such as JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
- Hands-on experience building or maintaining automated API, integration, or UI test suites.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Familiarity with Git version-control workflows, branching, pull requests, and code review.
- Experience on a product development scrum team or in an Agile environment, including understanding of the lifecycle from feature work through deployment.
- Strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication, and service-oriented internal-customer skills.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs or AI-assisted automation into developer tooling, CI pipelines, or internal services is preferred.
- Exposure to agentic development tooling, prompt design, AI-output evaluation, Cypress, Playwright, REST API testing, Docker, cloud platforms, observability or data tools, notification integrations, AWS Lambda, and SQL is preferred.
