Senior Software Engineer, GIS

- Collaborate with teams to refine requirements and design and build solutions for defined business needs.
- Contribute to software designs and models and follow coding standards and best practices.
- Write, test, document, and implement technically sound application code.
- Participate in and conduct code reviews.
- Maintain existing applications by fixing bugs and enhancing functionality.
- Ensure program, module, and system integrity through thorough testing.
- Use new technologies and tools to enhance applications.
- Guide less experienced team members through knowledge transfer and training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or GIS, or comparable work experience.
- Five years of experience designing and developing multi-tier browser-based applications.
- Experience with the listed technology stack is preferred.
- Enterprise GIS experience using ArcGIS Server and other ESRI technologies is highly desirable.
- Python or other scripting-language experience is a plus.
- Mobile application development and cloud-hosting experience are a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile-based development environment.
