Responsibilities
- Own test strategy and quality across iOS, Android, and web Bible App experiences.
- Define, develop, and maintain automated API, contract, and integration tests for backend services.
- Lead feature-flag and experiment QA, including variant validation, exposure events, phased rollouts, and A/B test integrity.
- Own release health through observability, quality gates, monitoring, synthetic testing, release validation, incident analysis, and postmortems.
- Execute manual, exploratory, accessibility, release candidate, and edge-case testing across devices, operating systems, network conditions, and app lifecycle states.
- Track and report quality metrics such as defect density, escape rate, test execution time, and crash-free rate.
- Partner with engineers and product managers on acceptance criteria, PR reviews, test design, and shifting quality earlier in development.
- Mentor quality engineers and drive continuous improvement of QE practices, tools, frameworks, and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in quality engineering, software testing, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of quality engineering methodologies, software testing, automation practices, and software delivery processes.
- Hands-on experience with Maestro, Selenium, Appium, JUnit, or TestNG across front-end, back-end, and service layers.
- Ability to lead quality initiatives, mentor others, make independent decisions, solve problems, and communicate effectively across teams.
- Ability to organize testing across multiple projects, manage time effectively, and drive continuous improvement.
