Responsibilities

Own test strategy and quality across iOS, Android, and web Bible App experiences.
Define, develop, and maintain automated API, contract, and integration tests for backend services.
Lead feature-flag and experiment QA, including variant validation, exposure events, phased rollouts, and A/B test integrity.
Own release health through observability, quality gates, monitoring, synthetic testing, release validation, incident analysis, and postmortems.
Execute manual, exploratory, accessibility, release candidate, and edge-case testing across devices, operating systems, network conditions, and app lifecycle states.
Track and report quality metrics such as defect density, escape rate, test execution time, and crash-free rate.
Partner with engineers and product managers on acceptance criteria, PR reviews, test design, and shifting quality earlier in development.
Mentor quality engineers and drive continuous improvement of QE practices, tools, frameworks, and processes.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in quality engineering, software testing, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of quality engineering methodologies, software testing, automation practices, and software delivery processes.
Hands-on experience with Maestro, Selenium, Appium, JUnit, or TestNG across front-end, back-end, and service layers.
Ability to lead quality initiatives, mentor others, make independent decisions, solve problems, and communicate effectively across teams.
Ability to organize testing across multiple projects, manage time effectively, and drive continuous improvement.
