Base Salary
$97k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and operate the Metabase Cloud application stack and AWS infrastructure for hosted customer instances.
- Debug runtime issues across the application and hosting stacks.
- Build internal tooling and automation for Metabase installation purchase, deployment, zero-downtime upgrades, and operational health.
- Improve automated deployments and testing.
- Work on multi-region hosting, EKS cluster provisioning, Kubernetes CRDs and Operators, RDS sharding, deployment platforms, application metrics, and CI integration.
- Maintain SOC2 compliance and the platform’s security posture.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building and operating production infrastructure, ideally on a public cloud.
- Strong Kubernetes and AWS experience.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code and Terraform experience.
- Ability to write high-quality, readable code in a modern language such as Python or Go.
- Experience with modern monitoring stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Thoughtful, careful, automation-oriented, and able to make and clearly explain sound technical judgments.
