Base Salary
$79k - $133k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate large-scale data processing, analytical, ETL, and API systems.
- Develop solutions for data reporting, accuracy, consistency, and business insights.
- Improve data models and database query performance.
- Simplify and modernize existing data processing workflows.
- Write technical design specifications and support documentation.
- Collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, product managers, and UI/UX teams on end-to-end solutions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend tools or approaches that improve development efficiency.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of software development experience.
- Expertise developing API services using Java.
- Proficiency in Python and Java.
- Practical experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
- Familiarity with AWS services including S3, Kinesis, Athena, and Glue.
- Excellent SQL skills and knowledge of data modeling for historical data.
- Experience with Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
- Proficiency with Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technology field.
- Preferred: experience with Prometheus, Druid, or InfluxDB.
- Preferred: expertise in OLTP, OLAP, star and snowflake schemas, normalization, and dimensional modeling.
- Preferred: experience designing scalable data pipelines and schema evolution.
- Preferred: proficiency with OpenAPI and familiarity with unit testing frameworks and CI/CD for data workflows.
- Preferred: understanding of data warehousing, root cause analysis, and large-scale pipeline optimization.
