Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, support, and maintain production web applications using React, TypeScript, CSS, JavaScript, C#, .NET, and SQL.
- Lead development of AI-enabled product features integrating LLM capabilities into business workflows, user experiences, and application services.
- Design and implement prompt orchestration, structured outputs, tool or API calling, fallback handling, and guardrails for LLM integrations.
- Evaluate where AI provides customer or operational value and establish practices for reliability, latency, cost, and user safety.
- Design new components, services, web pages, controls, and application architecture meeting functional, performance, scalability, availability, and maintainability requirements.
- Apply software design patterns, SOLID principles, secure coding practices, and quality management methods.
- Create unit, integration, functional, regression, and performance test coverage for owned software and AI-enabled features.
- Develop and maintain SQL database scripts, data-access patterns, and supporting services.
- Mentor engineers on modern development, AI-assisted workflows, code quality, testing strategy, and responsible LLM-tool usage.
- Communicate technical decisions, risks, tradeoffs, and implementation plans while leading work independently and managing competing priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, in-person, not-for-profit university or college is required.
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience in production environments, including ownership of complex systems or product features.
- Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript ES6+, C#, .NET, and SQL.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools and workflows to improve productivity, quality, testing, documentation, or delivery.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs or AI services into application code, including prompt design, structured outputs, error handling, and production monitoring.
- Experience with unit, integration, functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SOLID principles, design patterns, API design, and scalable application architecture.
- Experience working in Kanban-oriented engineering teams and collaborating across product, design, QA, and engineering.
- Ability to lead independently, mentor engineers, manage competing priorities, and deliver with minimal supervision.
- Preferred qualifications include deep React architecture expertise; experience with C#, .NET, SQL, REST APIs, service-oriented patterns, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated quality gates, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, cloud services, search and retrieval technologies, and responsible AI practices.
- A track record of commitment to prior employers and a strong product mindset are preferred.
