Base Salary

$108k - $205k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Automate and improve infrastructure reliability, resilience, reproducibility, and operational efficiency.
  • Own service availability, performance, monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning.
  • Create, improve, and manage environments using accurate, data-driven resource and capacity insights.
  • Maintain physical infrastructure using Linux and help advance Kubernetes and declarative infrastructure.
  • Influence technology decisions and direction for the ARINCDirect platform.
  • Collaborate with SREs and other engineering teams to design dependable and scalable services.
  • Identify and champion process improvements aligned with company goals and industry best practices.
  • Participate in a shared SRE on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a STEM degree and 8 years of relevant experience, an advanced degree and 5 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Experience as an SRE, Platform Engineer, or related professional in Linux or UNIX environments working on large, complex infrastructures or projects.
  • Experience using Docker and Kubernetes solutions.
  • Experience automating configuration and infrastructure with Saltstack, Ansible, Terraform, or other declarative languages.
  • Experience with servers, network switches, and cabling.
  • Preferred experience managing infrastructure with GitOps and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Python or Linux Shell tools such as bash, awk, or sed is preferred.
  • Preferred experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database management system and SQL.
  • Preferred familiarity with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
  • Understanding of SRE principles, observability solutions, SLOs, KPIs, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, NFS, network segmentation, routing, and VPNs.
