Responsibilities
- Design and implement BMS software, including SOC, SOH, and SOP estimation and cell-balancing algorithms.
- Develop motor-control algorithms for PMSM, IPMSM, and BLDC motors, including FOC, SVPWM, Clarke/Park transforms, and PI control loops.
- Develop OBC charging-control software for AC and DC fast charging, including CC/CV profiles and charging-control sequences.
- Implement ISO 15118 communication, Plug and Charge, smart charging, demand response, and V2G session management.
- Develop thermal-management algorithms for battery packs, coolant flow, heat pumps, and chillers.
- Integrate HV safety monitoring, HVIL supervision, pre-charge sequencing, insulation monitoring, and interlock fault handling.
- Implement AUTOSAR Classic application-layer components for BMS, OBC, and inverter ECUs, including SWC, port/interface, RTE, and inter-component communication design.
- Perform software unit testing, SIL verification, and ASIL D safety-mechanism testing.
- Document software designs, algorithm specifications, and test reports according to ASPICE SWE and ISO 26262 requirements.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in automotive electrification or EV embedded systems, including BMS, motor control, OBC, or powertrain systems.
- BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Electronics, Electrical, Power Electronics, Automotive Engineering, or Computer Science, with 15 years of full-time education.
- Proficiency in embedded C, C++, and MATLAB Simulink.
- Knowledge of BMS estimation methods including EKF, Coulomb counting, and OCV methods.
- Understanding of motor control, including FOC, SVPWM, Clarke/Park transforms, and PMSM, BLDC, and IPMSM drives.
- Experience with AUTOSAR Classic application-layer development, including SWC design, port/interface design, and RTE configuration.
- Knowledge of IEC 61851, ISO 15118, DIN 70121, CCS, Type 1, Type 2, and CHAdeMO charging protocols.
- Understanding of ISO 26262 functional safety for ASIL C/D systems and safety-mechanism design.
- Familiarity with HV safety concepts, HVIL, pre-charge, manual service disconnect, and insulation monitoring.
- Preferred experience with electrochemical battery modeling, power electronics, cell-monitoring IC integration, V2G, bidirectional charging, WLTP calculations, and range-estimation algorithms.
