$150k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and delivery of scalable banking features supporting a seamless mobile experience.
- Set architectural standards and best practices for code quality, performance, security, and reliability across banking services.
- Own technical approaches to complex challenges involving sensitive financial data and real-time money movement.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on collaboration.
- Partner with product, design, risk, and compliance teams to shape the roadmap and ship high-quality software.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation for a growing remote organization.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional backend or full-stack software engineering experience, including technical leadership of projects or teams.
- Proven experience designing, building, and scaling production-grade APIs and distributed systems.
- Experience with sensitive financial data and money movement systems such as ledgers, account management, ACH, or card processing.
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript or similar modern backend frameworks.
- Familiarity with microservices, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Experience with mobile or user-facing applications, ideally React Native, is a plus.
- Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and cross-team technical decision-making skills.
- Drive, proactivity, and comfort working in a fast-moving builder-oriented environment.
