Base Salary
$211k - $291k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build next-generation search ranking algorithms using deep learning and machine learning to personalize product discovery.
- Use LLMs to extract multimodal text and visual signals for user and intent profiling.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to experiment with and improve search and recommendation models.
- Design and productionize natural-language search and discovery systems, including intelligent agents that generate collections, explain results, and assist with browsing and evaluation.
- Share best practices in deep-learning development, agent-workflow evaluation, and MLOps while providing code reviews and technical guidance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience building large-scale ML models with business impact and shipping ML solutions to production.
- 3+ years of experience in search, recommendation, or advertising ranking.
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related STEM field.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or equivalent, with hands-on experience using deep-learning libraries such as PyTorch and big-data technologies such as Spark.
- Deep understanding of ML training and serving, imbalanced data, A/B testing, feature engineering, feature and model selection, user modeling, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
- Experience applying ML to search, recommendation, or advertising domains.
- Preferred qualifications include open-source ML contributions or peer-reviewed publications, productizing LLM-based search applications, building e-commerce or marketplace search and recommendation systems, using Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex, and familiarity with Kotlin.
