Responsibilities
- Support software and firmware build systems to help ensure reliable and repeatable builds.
- Evaluate, document, and analyze software tools and provide actionable insights to engineering and product teams.
- Assist with automated test systems, test frameworks, and scripting.
- Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution under senior engineer guidance.
- Collaborate through scrums, task planning, and iterative development activities.
- Integrate development and testing efforts to improve software delivery pipelines.
- Propose improvements to build, test, and deployment processes.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Must be enrolled at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution and eligible for a co-op work term during the specified period.
- Familiarity with computer networking and networking equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, or Python is preferred.
- Exposure to Ansible, Docker, or Kubernetes is preferred.
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux, or virtual machine environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with GitLab, Rational Team Concert, DOORS or DOORS NG, or JIRA or Confluence is preferred.
- Experience with or familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada and able to obtain and maintain applicable Canadian government security clearance and other required security assessments.

- Expected compensation is $24.92–$33.23 per hour, with quarterly pay increases for student placement.
- 8–16 month full-time temporary co-op placement beginning Fall 2026.
