Base Salary
$273k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research and develop reinforcement learning and distillation techniques for trajectory planning.
- Design and deploy multimodal models and interactive world models for autonomous vehicle perception, planning, and actuation.
- Own model post-training, distillation, quantization, profiling, and hardware-accelerated deployment for vehicle edge systems.
- Architect pipelines to ingest, filter, curate, and extract rare scenarios from multi-petabyte multi-sensor datasets.
- Implement active learning, data mining, and statistical quality workflows for improving model training data.
- Collaborate with validation, QA, testing, and simulation teams to identify regressions, bottlenecks, and edge cases.
- Work with hardware, electrical, and firmware teams on vehicle edge devices, sensor interfaces, carrier boards, and GPUs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of non-internship professional machine learning engineering experience.
- Deep expertise applying AI Transformers to robotics, physical actuation, or spatiotemporal data.
- Experience designing or training multimodal systems, VLA models, or generative diffusion models.
- Strong background in sensor fusion using cameras, LiDAR, and radar.
- Fluency in PyTorch or JAX and proficiency in Python; robust C++ programming skills.
- Experience with model optimization, distillation, deployment, profiling, runtime compilation, or edge hardware.
- Experience building data curation pipelines, active learning workflows, or data-mining architectures for large physical datasets.
- Familiarity with multi-task learning, BEV frameworks, representation learning, data tokenization, robotics data structures, spatial frameworks, and low-level sensor interfaces is preferred.
