Responsibilities
- Design and engineer a DevOps platform supporting software development, systems engineering, integration, and testing in heterogeneous environments.
- Develop GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure and Kubernetes configurations.
- Support cloud networking and routing for DNS, TLS, and ingress/egress traffic.
- Maintain and harden base images in cloud environments.
- Perform risk assessments, document threats and vulnerabilities, and recommend corrective actions and mitigation strategies.
- Validate, troubleshoot, and document DevSecOps engineering efforts and Information Assurance controls in accordance with DoD, CNSSI 1253, and NIST guidance.
- Develop infrastructure testing procedures, automation, programming, and documentation.
- Document processes and services for cloud application development teams.
- Research quality-review problems and develop solutions while participating in Agile planning and testing of deployed systems.
- Provide technical input on system cost, efficiency, and security posture and coordinate delivery with project teams.
Requirements
- Six years of relevant experience, including experience in at least three specified systems, software, administration, assurance, analysis, development, verification, integration, deployment, or documentation areas.
- At least two years of related IT experience in DevOps/DevSecOps engineering, CI/CD, build and release, SRE, operations engineering, systems integration engineering, or cloud administration.
- High school diploma or GED and technical training in information technology or software application development.
- U.S. citizenship and an active interim DoD Secret clearance or favorable T3-equivalent background investigation.
- DoD 8570-compliant certification, including CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification at a minimum of DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II, or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
- Experience evaluating or assessing systems in government cloud environments using DevSecOps principles and continuous security.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code and preferably hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Experience with Docker and Rancher, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Fargate, or similar container orchestration tools.
- Experience automating infrastructure and integrating DevOps practices and managing continuous integration and continuous delivery environments.
- Preferred experience with Jenkins, GitLab, HashiCorp Vault, Argo CD, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Amazon EKS, and DISA STIGs.
