Responsibilities
- Develop low-level software for direct hardware access using device datasheets and embedded controller peripherals.
- Create diagnostic code that thoroughly exercises assigned product hardware functionality.
- Read hardware schematics, perform digital circuit analysis, and analyze and debug product failures.
- Work with embedded software, device drivers, bus systems, Linux, shell scripting, and software development tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, telecommunication engineering, or computer science.
- At least 3 years of related, up-to-date experience.
- Experience with embedded software development and low-level hardware access.
- Proven experience with C/C++ and Python programming.
- Experience with SPI, I2C, MDIO, PCIe, and device drivers.
- Experience with Linux, shell scripting, Git, and software development environment tools.
- Conceptual understanding of continuous integration and version control.
- Ability to read hardware schematics, perform digital circuit analysis, and debug failure scenarios.
- Experience with optical telecommunication systems is preferred.
