Base Salary
$117k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend services for GUS agile tooling, including work items, planning, sprints, and reporting.
- Build and maintain integrations between GUS, Salesforce systems, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Develop AI-assisted developer tooling such as agents, automation, and intelligent workflows.
- Own features through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production operation.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to code reviews and engineering standards.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
- Diagnose production issues, identify root causes, and drive recurrence-prevention actions.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to the team’s technical direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production services at scale.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Apex, or an equivalent modern backend language, with experience in large and complex codebases.
- Experience designing and consuming APIs and building system integrations.
- Knowledge of data modeling, relational databases, and distributed-systems fundamentals.
- Ability to own features end to end and deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Preferred experience with LLM-backed agents, coding assistants, automation, Salesforce Platform, Apex, LWC, platform APIs, agile tooling, engineering-productivity systems, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Splunk, or Grafana.
- Preferred ability to influence across teams, consult on architecture, mentor peers, and improve team practices.
