Responsibilities
- Own existing GCP and Cloudflare infrastructure, including associated costs.
- Design and implement the next iteration of infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Own and improve monitoring and alerting systems.
- Participate in the team’s 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Assist with build tools and deployment pipelines.
- Contribute to cross-functional architecture and implementation efforts.
- Plan and execute engineering work from idea through completion.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and support the technical and cultural growth of engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least eight years of experience, with a significant portion at a cloud-based SaaS company.
- Significant experience designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure with infrastructure as code.
- Significant experience designing and maintaining cloud networking.
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with GCP and Terraform OSS is preferred.
- Experience with Cloudflare Workers is preferred.
- Experience with DevOps and SRE techniques and practices is preferred, especially with Python- and JavaScript-based applications.
