Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the design, delivery, versioning, and evolution of the Bruin SDK and public APIs, including contracts, pagination, error handling, authentication, and rate limiting.
- Own the Bruin developer portal as a product, including quickstarts, API references, code samples, interactive tooling, changelogs, and documentation synchronization with code.
- Lead the Bruin Integration Marketplace, including its connector framework, certification model, secrets management, observability, access requests, onboarding, and foundational connectors.
- Apply enterprise integration patterns for webhooks, retries, eventual consistency, schema evolution, idempotency, replay, and observability.
- Design integration experiences consumable by AI agents and AI-native applications through clear tool semantics and capability descriptions.
- Collaborate directly with customer engineering teams and partners during marketplace onboarding and early-adopter programs.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant SDK, public API, or platform engineering experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of a production-scale developer-facing SDK or public API.
- Strong proficiency in at least two modern programming languages; TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js are preferred, with familiarity across .NET, Python, Go, Ruby, and Java ecosystems.
- Experience designing APIs and SDKs for developer discovery, strong type definitions, inline documentation, IDE support, and agentic coding tools.
- Experience building or significantly contributing to a developer portal or documentation site using docs-as-code, OpenAPI specifications, generated SDKs, or similar workflows.
- Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, webhooks, REST, GraphQL, retry and idempotency patterns, and schema versioning.
- Hands-on experience with containerized deployment using Kubernetes and Docker, plus familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor.
- Strong written communication for SDK documentation, API design documents, and customer-facing integration guides.
- Customer empathy and experience working directly with developers integrating against a product.
- Preferred experience with AI-agent APIs, Model Context Protocol, function-calling, iPaaS or B2B SaaS platforms, enterprise systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, Workday, or Okta, telecom or mobile device management, developer advocacy, or technical writing.
Benefits
- The U.S. base salary range is $145,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually, varying by work location and qualifications.
- The position is based in NYC, with compensation determined across defined U.S. geographic markets.
