Responsibilities
- Contribute to development and customization of the Android Open Source Project for video collaboration devices.
- Work across the Android HAL, framework, and system services layers.
- Assist with system-level applications and services.
- Integrate, configure, and troubleshoot hardware peripherals within the Android ecosystem.
- Support secure and reliable device-to-cloud communication for remote management and telemetry.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.
- Participate in technical reviews of system designs and interface requirements.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a BS or MS in a relevant engineering or technical field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a foundation in data structures and core algorithms.
- Foundational knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and/or C++.
- Basic understanding of Android application development and/or Android system architecture.
- Understanding of object-oriented design and programming fundamentals.
- Understanding of concurrency and multithreading concepts.
- Basic knowledge of embedded systems architecture and resource constraints.
- Familiarity with IPC mechanisms and client-server communication models.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools.
- Basic familiarity with Linux and the Bash shell.
- Good verbal communication skills in English.
- Interest in how software interfaces with hardware components.
