Base Salary
$150k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services and processing pipelines that efficiently handle large volumes of healthcare data.
- Integrate and optimize AI components, including LLMs, to power intelligent features and insights.
- Own end-to-end feature development from conception through deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate with frontend, data, AI, product, and design teams to deliver data-rich user experiences.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, autoscaling, and other observability practices for services and data pipelines.
- Apply software development, coding, testing, and deployment best practices.
- Translate product requirements into technical specifications and help build the engineering team from the ground up.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of backend development experience building scalable distributed systems.
- At least 2 years of experience in a startup environment.
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, Node.js, or Java.
- Understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architectures, backend observability, system design, data processing, analytics, and relational databases.
- Experience delivering high-impact organizational projects and strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Preferred experience with message queues, data streaming platforms, vector databases, LangChain, LlamaIndex, prompt engineering, RAG systems, AI-driven similarity search, FHIR, and healthcare interoperability standards.
