Responsibilities
- Develop and apply machine learning, deep learning, and visual AI algorithms to operational data sets.
- Analyze, transform, model, visualize, and perform statistical analysis on time-series, multimodal, and textual data.
- Design model architectures, custom loss functions, and deep neural networks including MLPs, CNNs, and Transformers.
- Evaluate and improve model robustness, reliability, forecasting, classification, and anomaly detection performance.
- Apply emerging AI/ML technologies from commercial and academic domains to military and government missions.
- Serve as a technical lead for large, complex, strategically important projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Develop operational plans, processes, standards, and new technical solutions with functional and strategic impact.
- Brief senior leaders and provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to employees across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12–15 years of experience in a related or applicable field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance or other authorization are required.
- Expert-level knowledge of machine learning techniques and popular frameworks.
- Extensive experience with LLM prompting and Transformer architecture.
- Experience with unsupervised learning, including clustering algorithms and manifold learning.
- Mastery of knowledge across multiple job areas, strong analytical ability, business acumen, and the ability to communicate with and influence senior leadership.
- Preferred experience with military simulators such as AFSIM, JGTS, or MAST.
- Strong writing and presentation skills and an academic publication history are preferred.
