Base Salary
$142k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain backend systems for Citi’s FX Velocity electronic trading platform.
- Develop highly concurrent, performant, resilient, and low-latency trading systems using Java.
- Partner with product, development, infrastructure, and management teams to integrate functions and deliver new products and process improvements.
- Analyze complex business and system processes, identify enhancements, and develop innovative solutions.
- Define and maintain standards for application design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Advise or coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as needed.
- Assess and manage technology, business, compliance, and control risks.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of hands-on applications development experience with a Java background.
- Extensive experience in system analysis and software application programming.
- Understanding of multithreaded Java, networks, and JVM operation.
- Experience managing and implementing projects.
- Experience developing large-scale resilient systems and low-latency solutions.
- Leadership, project management, prioritization, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or university degree required; master’s degree preferred.

- Base salary range of $142,320.00–$213,480.00 per year, with potential discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
