Responsibilities
- Develop and customize firmware for USB-PD reference designs and Infineon controller solutions.
- Validate firmware and hardware against customer requirements and functional specifications.
- Perform interoperability and compliance testing for USB-C and USB-PD reference and customer designs.
- Write application notes and example usage guides for Type-C and USB-PD applications.
- Debug interfaces and power circuits during bring-up using oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and other laboratory equipment.
- Record test results, log issues, and communicate findings to engineering and product teams.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Practical experience with embedded system design, microcontroller programming, and board bring-up is preferred.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, power supplies, and common bench instruments.
- Familiarity with USB, USB-PD, Type-C, I2C, SPI, UART, and related protocol troubleshooting.
- Understanding of analog circuits, switching regulators, LDOs, DC-DC converters, and power distribution debugging is a bonus.
