Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test solutions for enterprise applications.
- Develop Python and Shell scripting automation frameworks and test utilities.
- Validate backend systems, APIs, data processing, batch workloads, performance, reliability, scalability, and security requirements.
- Perform SQL-based data validation, reconciliation, database debugging, and analysis across large-scale databases.
- Create test scenarios, test cases, automation coverage, and test plans for system, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Troubleshoot production and client-reported issues through application and data analysis.
- Track and communicate testing progress, risks, defects, and results to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with software engineers, business analysts, product owners, and global cross-functional teams.
- Support risk assessment, mitigation, and continuous quality improvement activities.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on backend and automation testing.
- Strong hands-on experience developing Python automation and using Unix/Linux environments with Shell scripting.
- Strong database testing experience, including SQL query development and optimization, data validation and reconciliation, stored procedures, functions, database objects, large data volumes, and complex schemas.
- Experience testing APIs, batch processes, and backend services.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies, defect lifecycle management, and quality processes.
- Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies and SAFe/Value Stream concepts.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Zephyr Scale, and Confluence/Wiki.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, independent-work, and global collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- Preferred experience with Jenkins, cloud-native technologies, modern application architectures, API testing tools, automation frameworks, Git/GitHub, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and financial-services or capital-markets domains.
