Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain FIX integrations using ITIVI APPIA FIX, IBM MQ, and IBM ACE.
- Configure FIX sessions, protocol parameters, and connectivity for clients, brokers, and exchanges.
- Develop and maintain message flows within the existing middleware architecture.
- Design, coordinate, and execute FIX certification tests for client and exchange onboarding.
- Analyze client-specific requirements and design corresponding integration solutions.
- Provide technical support for Markets projects and client onboarding.
- Perform root-cause analysis for production incidents.
- Maintain stable operation of the FIX and MQ messaging landscape.
- Contribute to monitoring and automation initiatives using meshIQ products.
- Participate in the rotating 24/7 on-call service.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent proven technical expertise.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with the FIX protocol, including deep knowledge of order and trade flows, FIX engines, and frameworks.
- Solid Linux proficiency.
- Programming skills in at least one of ESQL, Bash, Perl, or Java.
- Strong experience with MQ client and broker connectivity and related industry standards.
- Expertise developing integration solutions in a banking environment using IBM MQ, IBM Integration Bus, and IBM ACE.
- Experience with client and exchange connectivity in financial markets.
- Good understanding of equities, foreign exchange, and derivatives.
- Knowledge of SWIFT, including ISO20022, MT, and MX, is advantageous.
- Strong communication, analytical problem-solving, independent working, and ownership skills.
