Base Salary
$109k - $126k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineers to design, build, and operate innovative products and services.
- Break down complex and ambiguous problems into well-defined components before implementation.
- Contribute to scalable and reliable services involving distributed-systems scope that varies by team.
- Participate in technical discussions and code reviews, including validating AI-generated code.
- Write clean, maintainable code using software design patterns and best practices.
- Create clear and accurate technical documentation.
- Use GenAI and AI-powered development tools while critically validating and integrating their output.
- Work in an agile environment with CI/CD principles and participate in operational responsibilities, including on-call duties.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
- Have experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Have experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object-oriented design principles.
- Have experience using AI-assisted development tools in an academic or professional setting.
- Be able to work at least 40 hours per week and commit to a maximum 12-week internship.
- Have an expected degree conferral date between October 2027 and September 2029.
- Have at least one academic quarter, semester, or trimester remaining after the internship concludes.
- Previous technical internship or demonstrated project experience is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes cloud platforms, especially AWS; SQL and NoSQL database systems; AI development tools; open-source projects; and version control systems.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and strong problem decomposition, problem-solving, analytical, communication, learning, adaptability, ownership, and initiative skills.
