Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, debug, document, modify, and integrate complex information systems and application programs.
- Develop, enhance, and support enterprise workflow applications using IBM BPM and IBM Business Automation Workflow.
- Design workflow processes, human services, coaches, coach views, dashboards, toolkits, reusable components, and orchestration capabilities.
- Integrate workflow solutions with enterprise applications through REST APIs, SOAP web services, JMS/MQ messaging, databases, and stored procedures.
- Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.
- Troubleshoot production issues, respond to system failures and performance events, perform root-cause analysis, and reduce recurrence and downtime.
- Collaborate with customers, business analysts, architects, QA teams, stakeholders, and external implementation partners.
- Provide guidance and training to less-experienced analysts and programmers and may lead project teams or phases of larger efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience; the employer equates one year of technical experience to each requested year of college.
- At least three years of systems and programming experience.
- At least one year of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards.
- At least one year of expert working knowledge of a programming language used at BCBST.
- At least three years of hands-on experience developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise workflow applications using IBM BPM 8.x and/or IBM Business Automation Workflow 24.x or 26.x.
- Strong experience with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, SQL, SQL Server, and DB2.
- Experience with enterprise integrations using REST APIs, SOAP web services, JMS/MQ messaging, databases, and stored procedures.
- Experience with requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, technical documentation, production support, unit testing, system or integration testing, root-cause analysis, and code reviews.
- Experience collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum delivery environments; BABOK practices are valued.
- Demonstrated analysis, design, coding, leadership, communication, organization, reliability, and ability to interpret complex technical concepts for technical and business audiences.

- Final interview round is onsite at the Chattanooga, Tennessee office.
- Periodic on-call support is required once the platform is operational.
