Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver machine learning solutions demonstrating customer value across AMD’s AI product portfolio.
- Implement, train, fine-tune, deploy, and serve machine learning models on hardware systems and in production runtimes.
- Define an AI solutions roadmap with technical and business teams and continuously incorporate emerging AI concepts and capabilities.
- Develop demonstration and application software, including solutions deployed in Jupyter notebooks.
- Engage marketing teams to deploy early proofs of concept and support Tier 1 customers with custom applications.
- Analyze emerging AI trends and provide insights to AMD product and technical teams.
- Benchmark machine learning solutions on AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Applications, Business Unit, and external customer stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related equivalent field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of machine learning architectures, models, and industry developer tools.
- Prior experience developing production software solutions and CI/CD methods.
- Experience implementing and training machine learning models, including model fine-tuning and deployment on hardware systems.
- Experience with production runtime serving of machine learning applications.
- Experience developing in Python and C/C++ and deploying solutions within Jupyter notebooks.
- Experience with emerging software frameworks for generative AI and agentic AI.
- Experience publishing to open source, including GitHub repositories and industry collaborations.
- Preferred experience includes impactful or maintained open-source projects, full-stack software development, foundational model architecture development, Agentic AI, LLMs, RAG pipelines, multimodal applications including ASR/TTS, image generation pipelines, production-scale consumer or commercial software, technical publications, industry standards bodies, and Bash/Python/C++ test automation.
