Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design systems for storing and retrieving reactor data and physics results at scale.
- Architect and own CI/CD pipelines for multiphysics analyses, ensuring reliability, observability, and reproducibility.
- Develop tools and platforms for reactor engineers to visualize, compare, and evaluate reactor designs.
- Develop physics kernels to solve new problems and improve existing model performance.
- Develop reactor optimization schemes and statistical experiments to inform design changes.
- Mentor engineers, set technical direction, and contribute to engineering culture.
- Own projects end-to-end from requirements gathering and architecture through implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Fluency in Python and strong proficiency with Git.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to collaborate with scientists, analysts, and other domain experts.
- Curiosity and passion for nuclear power, closing the nuclear fuel cycle, and sustainable energy generation.
- Strong communication, ownership, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
