Principal Solution Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Lead architectural and business discovery across legacy OSS/BSS and broadcast ecosystems.
- Connect technical demonstrations and architectural proposals to measurable business outcomes, ROI, and business justifications.
- Deliver executive-level narratives and technical advisory to CTOs, CIOs, enterprise architects, and other senior stakeholders.
- Own three-year technical maturity roadmaps and review post-sale platform usage and consumption to validate business value.
- Coordinate specialist solution engineering, technical and enterprise architecture, AI, data, implementation, and cybersecurity teams without direct reporting authority.
- Discuss Salesforce platform capabilities and their interactions with downstream systems, cloud infrastructure, AI and automation, security, data, and integration architectures.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering or Enterprise Architecture, preferably including 3–5 years in Telecommunications or Media.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of the Salesforce portfolio, particularly Communications Cloud and Media Cloud.
- Familiarity with telecommunications industry standards including TM Forum and MEF.
- Good understanding of REST/SOAP integrations, middleware, and publish/subscribe architectures.
- Experience with cloud-first transformations, data lakes, ERP and billing systems, API-led connectivity, real-time event-driven architectures, encryption, and data sovereignty.
- Ability to lead virtual specialist teams without direct reporting authority.
- Understanding of the South African telecommunications and media regulatory environment and the African mobile-first economy.
