$193k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design environments, actions, tools, skills, and evaluations for agentic legal and professional work.
- Optimize agent performance through prompt engineering, model selection, tool design, context window management, and evaluation harness development.
- Design and implement low-latency agent execution infrastructure with caching strategies, parallel tool calls, and subagent patterns.
- Improve observability and instrumentation to profile agent behavior, identify bottlenecks, and guide optimization decisions.
- Partner with customers and product managers to understand legal workflows and ship agents that meet practical quality standards.
- Stay current on agentic systems developments and apply relevant learnings to product development.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of post-BS/MS software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with LLM APIs and agent frameworks.
- Experience shipping user-facing backend or full-stack products.
- Experience designing practical evaluations to drive quality and task completion.
- Passion for building effective domain-specific agents and an iterative approach to rapidly shipping proof of concepts and early versions.
