Responsibilities
- Build new electronics manufacturing test stations and provide high-tier support for existing stations.
- Design and maintain Python test software and hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure for avionics production and certification.
- Translate manual acceptance procedures into reliable automated software with software, hardware, and manufacturing teams.
- Maintain database schemas and ELT pipelines for mission-critical test results.
- Deliver web UIs, backend services, and CI/CD deployments for test automation systems.
- Develop asynchronous Python services and drivers integrating test equipment through gRPC, WebSockets, Modbus TCP, and SCPI/VISA.
- Provide technical strategy, mentorship, code reviews, and guidance while collaborating across distributed engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s-level university degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering with 7+ years of full-time industry experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of practical experience.
- Experience operating electronics test equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, and data acquisition devices.
- Experience with networking, Modbus, I2C, and SCPI/VISA protocols, including writing drivers for electronics test equipment.
- Expertise in Python and asyncio, with exposure to C++, C, Go, and SQL.
- Demonstrable software development experience for production test equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience designing and implementing strategies to assess the reliability of automation frameworks and libraries.
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps tools, networking fundamentals, and software/hardware interfaces.
- Ability to gather requirements, collaborate across disciplines, work in a distributed team, learn new technologies, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Desired experience building full-stack applications with FastAPI and SQL.
