Responsibilities
- Map ESI standard texts to OEM texts for automotive aftersales and aftermarket diagnostic tester software.
- Specify requirements and create end-to-end diagnostic content for automotive systems.
- Analyze vehicle communication bus logs using analyzer tools and simulate automotive systems with simulators and OE testers.
- Design workflows and test sequences in Bosch standard tools and implement insights derived from OE diagnostic data.
- Perform on-vehicle validation, coverage evaluations, benchmarking, reverse engineering, and test-report creation.
- Review deliverables, recommend improvements, collaborate with global software engineering teams, and travel to workshops or dealerships for testing and release activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, subsystems, and components, with proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and make vehicles roadworthy.
- Ability to understand OE system descriptions and service and repair manuals.
- Experience handling diagnostic testers such as VIDA, Xentry, GDS, ADT, SDT-II, DiagBox, HDS, Launch, Autel, G-Scan, and Zenith.
- Knowledge of wiring diagrams and conventions, Bosch ESI [tronic], and automotive protocols including CAN, CAN FD, DoIP, UDS, and J1939.
- Experience with analyzer and simulation tools from Vector or Samtec, such as HSX and HS+, and with various OEM testers.
- Automotive Mechatronics Certification is a preferred qualification.
