Responsibilities
- Define long-term architectural standards and design scalable, resilient systems.
- Lead complex, end-to-end, cross-functional product initiatives from problem framing through measurable business outcomes.
- Partner with Product and Design leaders to influence roadmaps, test assumptions, and incorporate technical leverage into strategy.
- Establish AI-assisted development practices, standards, and guardrails.
- Improve CI/CD, observability, testing, operational reliability, and systemic engineering bottlenecks.
- Engage customers and stakeholders, use product analytics, and design experiments to measure results.
- Mentor engineers on architecture, product thinking, and AI-assisted development tools.
Requirements
- 10+ years of full-stack software development experience designing, building, and shipping complex products end-to-end.
- Experience with multi-language backends and frameworks, scalability, architecture decision records, and performance work; prior PHP experience is not required.
- Mastery of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar, with daily usage.
- Advanced fluency with PostHog, Amplitude, or Mixpanel and experience with feature flags and A/B testing.
- Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines, AWS, Kubernetes, and modern observability practices.
- Ability to turn ambiguous problems into executable technical plans with clear tradeoffs.
- Strong record of mentoring engineers, communicating with customers and stakeholders, and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
