Base Salary
$170k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, productionize, and scale machine learning and optimization models.
- Set machine learning best practices and help define the direction of the machine learning platform.
- Develop scalable frameworks, pipelines, libraries, utilities, and tools for processing large datasets for ML tasks.
- Partner with data scientists to troubleshoot and optimize complex data pipelines and deploy their models into production.
- Build a model deployment platform that simplifies implementation of new models.
- Create reusable end-to-end pipelines from data acquisition through model output delivery.
- Collaborate with product managers and business partners to gather requirements for machine learning models.
- Design and build ML engineering solutions that enable new modeling capabilities.
- Mentor and guide junior machine learning engineers, data scientists, and other team members.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of machine learning experience.
- Proven experience deploying and integrating machine learning models into production systems.
- Strong expertise in deep learning, neural networks, statistical modeling, tree-based methods, boosting, regression, and dimensionality reduction.
- Extensive experience building personalization and recommendation systems.
- Working knowledge of mathematical modeling, linear programming, integer programming, and discrete event simulation.
- Familiarity with large language models, fine-tuning methods, and reinforcement learning from human feedback.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience developing data pipelines and machine learning libraries or tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, willingness to learn new technologies, and interest in mentoring junior colleagues.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, high-growth, and agile environments.
