Responsibilities
- Design and build tools and applications that extend Calendly’s infrastructure platform.
- Evaluate and guide application development across the organization.
- Apply cloud infrastructure concepts and patterns to platform engineering work.
- Define and promote reusable patterns for application teams building cloud-native applications.
- Deliver infrastructure roadmap objectives and provide a self-service platform for product developers.
- Work directly with internal customers to understand requirements and collaborate on solutions.
- Teach, share knowledge, mentor others, and foster collaborative learning.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and/or software development.
- 4+ years of experience leading technical projects.
- Strong Go development experience, particularly writing APIs that build, orchestrate, and manage cloud infrastructure.
- Expertise designing and implementing cloud-native applications on Kubernetes, including Controllers and Operators.
- Deep experience designing, building, and operating highly available production applications.
- Understanding of Linux and systems engineering fundamentals, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, reliability practices, software and infrastructure tuning, and observability.
- Experience building applications on Temporal is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States because Calendly does not provide immigration sponsorship.
- Must be available to participate in an on-call rotation.
