Responsibilities
- Design and build tools and applications to extend Calendly’s infrastructure platform.
- Evaluate and guide the development of applications across the organization.
- Exercise deep expertise in cloud infrastructure concepts and patterns.
- Offer and evangelize patterns for application teams to consume for cloud-native application development.
- Foster a collaborative environment of learning and knowledge dissemination.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and/or software development.
- 4+ years of experience leading technical projects.
- Eagerness and drive to teach, share knowledge, and mentor others.
- Comfortable working directly with internal customers to understand needs and collaborate on solutions.
- Strong Go (Golang) development experience, especially in writing APIs for cloud infrastructure.
- Expert knowledge of designing and implementing cloud-native applications on Kubernetes.
- Experience building applications on Temporal is a plus.
- Deep experience designing, building, and running highly-available production applications.
- Understanding of the Linux operating system and systems engineering fundamentals.
- Technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and reliability practices.
- Working knowledge of software and infrastructure tuning and observability, especially Datadog.
- Availability for participation in on-call rotation for business-critical alerts.
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
