Responsibilities
- Provide application management and technical support for SAP MDG solutions across handover, operations, enhancement, rollout, and retirement activities.
- Configure and extend standard master-data objects including Material, Finance, Supplier, Customer, and Business Partner.
- Define and enhance data models, user interfaces, workflows, change-request flows, validations, derivations, and duplicate-check processes.
- Develop and implement SAP MDG integrations, data extraction and loading, data replication, and migration of existing master data.
- Integrate SAP MDG with ERP, CRM, ECC, SAP Data Services, Information Steward, other SAP components, and external systems.
- Implement technical enhancements using ABAP, BADI implementations, classes, methods, BRFplus, ALE/IDoc, SOA, and the Data Replication Framework.
- Create integration test plans and maintain appropriate technical system documentation.
- Support SAP MDG technical rollouts across all ZEISS regions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Master Data Management and Governance.
- At least 5 years of in-depth experience with SAP MDG applications, including Business Partner, Material, and Financials.
- Strong knowledge of ABAP object-oriented programming, SAP MDG, ABAP Floor Plan Manager, ABAP Web Dynpro, and ABAP Workflow.
- Experience configuring SAP MDG applications, custom data models, change-request workflows, UI configurations, validations, derivations, and data-quality processes.
- Hands-on experience implementing BADI implementations, classes, and methods.
- Experience with SOA, ALE/IDoc, data replication techniques, MDG error handling, DRF, BRFplus, data transfer, and key and value mapping.
- Experience integrating MDG with SAP enterprise information management components, ERP/CRM master data, SAP systems, non-SAP systems, and the external world.
- Experience with SAP Business Workflow, ABAP Web Dynpro, Floor Plan Manager, Material Master Maintenance, ERP Material Master configuration, and SAP MDG implementation projects.
- Experience with user-interface design and modeling in SAP Floor Plan Manager, including navigation elements, hyperlinks, push buttons, and value restrictions.
- Experience setting up data quality, duplicate checks, validations, derivations, master-data migration, and master-data extraction and loading.
- Knowledge of SAP MDG across Customer, Vendor, Finance, Material, and other master-data elements, including BRFplus integration with MDG version 6.1 or 7.0.
