- Define and drive end-to-end cloud solution architecture for product-agnostic digital services across the 2026–2027 roadmap.
- Translate business initiatives into scalable technical solutions in collaboration with product management, engineering, operations, and security teams.
- Design secure, reliable, and cost-effective Azure architectures covering compute, networking, storage, data, integration, and AI services.
- Establish architecture standards, reference patterns, and governance checkpoints aligned with enterprise architecture guidelines.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical risk assessments, and design decisions across multiple parallel programs.
- Enable event-driven and microservices-based designs that support interoperability, reuse, and maintainability.
- Provide implementation teams with solution guidance, architecture artifacts, and decision records from inception through delivery.
- Drive cloud optimization initiatives focused on operational efficiency, service reliability, and total cost of ownership.
- Coach solution architects and engineering teams and contribute to architecture community practices and capability building.
Requirements
- Extensive professional experience in enterprise solution architecture, software engineering, or a comparable technical discipline in complex, large-scale enterprise environments, or an equivalent qualification.
- Deep knowledge of the Azure Cloud Platform and infrastructure services, including compute, networking, storage, identity, security, monitoring, and DevOps.
- Strong understanding of solution architecture frameworks and methods such as arc42, including architecture documentation and review practices.
- Hands-on experience with microservices, service-oriented architecture, and event-driven architecture patterns.
- Strong software engineering background in Java, .NET, or similar technology stacks, with the ability to work effectively with development teams.
- Practical experience with Linux-based environments and cloud operations.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code and automation practices such as ARM, Bicep, Pulumi, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of security, compliance, resilience, and operational excellence in large-scale cloud solutions.
- Proven enterprise solution architecture experience focused on cloud-native platforms and distributed systems.
- Experience in AI/ML and IoT-enabled solution contexts is highly desirable.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor architects and engineers, and communicate with senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a record of driving cost optimization, efficiency, and reliability improvements.
- Fluent English and good command of German.
