Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable back-end services for consumer-facing applications.
- Lead migrations of critical services from monolithic architectures to microservices.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers while promoting software development, testing, and deployment best practices.
- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement service optimizations.
- Contribute technical guidance to architecture discussions and solution-design decisions.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, product owners, and global teams on e-commerce and supply-chain solutions.
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering with a strong focus on back-end development and system architecture.
- Proficiency with back-end technologies and programming languages such as Go or Java.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience migrating applications from monolithic architectures to microservices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing services at scale.
- Experience with Agile development practices and changing priorities.
- Strong mentorship, analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, including verifying, testing, and setting boundaries on generated work.
