Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and develop Qt/C++ applications and touch-optimized Qt Quick/QML interfaces for embedded industrial HMI systems.
- Build data visualization components and optimize applications for embedded resource constraints and desktop or embedded Linux targets.
- Integrate applications with backend services using WebSockets and MQTT, while developing Python backend services and utilities.
- Create and maintain custom Yocto Linux distributions, layers, recipes, BSP configurations, device trees, kernel modules, and system services.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines for Yocto builds and deployment workflows.
- Create Python test automation frameworks for end-of-line production testing and manage industrial protocol communication using Modbus TCP and CANbus.
- Lead HMI and Yocto platform initiatives from requirements through delivery and manage scoped internal projects.
- Mentor engineers, conduct technical code and design reviews, and guide architecture and technical direction.
- Manage the embedded cybersecurity program through security reviews, vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, hardening, CVE monitoring, and incident-response documentation.
- Guide teams on embedded security compliance and hardening requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of hands-on embedded software development experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Experience leading internal teams or cross-functional projects from scoping through delivery.
- Experience mentoring engineers and conducting technical code and design reviews.
- Strong testing experience with unit tests and mocking frameworks in embedded or regulated environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, Qt/C++, and web-based application development.
- Strong working knowledge of Yocto Linux, embedded cybersecurity frameworks, and standards such as IEC 62443 or IEC 62304.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
