Responsibilities
- Build and own Android features covering payments flows, real-time market data, and core UI from design handoff through production.
- Implement performant and polished interfaces with Jetpack Compose.
- Contribute to delivery pipelines and Gradle build configuration.
- Build and maintain WebSockets, gRPC, and streaming-data integrations for live market features.
- Identify gaps in Android architecture and engineering practices before they become problems at scale.
- Collaborate with a distributed team across time zones and use AI tools as part of the development workflow.
Requirements
- Strong, current Kotlin experience with the ability to articulate technical tradeoffs.
- Strong, current production experience building UI with Jetpack Compose.
- Practical experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines and managing Gradle build configuration.
- Solid understanding of modern Android architecture and independent technical decision-making.
- Active use of AI tools in the development workflow.
- Experience integrating Android payments is a plus.
- Experience with WebSockets, gRPC, or other real-time mobile data patterns is a plus.
- Familiarity with cross-platform shared-code architectures is a plus.
- iOS or Swift experience is a plus.
- Experience in a larger, mature engineering organization is a plus.
