Base Salary
$232k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution and architecture of the Armada Edge Platform for compute and AI workloads across globally distributed, high-latency, and disconnected environments
- Drive architectural roadmaps for next-generation initiatives including orbital compute modules and data centers in space
- Co-design integrations and deep-tech solutions with strategic industry partners
- Define the three- to five-year technical roadmap for high-density GPU orchestration and orbital data processing
- Serve as the final escalation point for complex architecture challenges involving real-time streaming, computer vision, and network-aware workload distribution
- Lead proof-of-concepts for in-orbit inference, adaptive edge learning, and secure Earth-to-space data orchestration
- Mentor Staff and Principal engineers and promote architectural rigor across the engineering organization
Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering experience with a track record as a Distinguished Engineer, Fellow, or equivalent senior technical leader at a major infrastructure or AI company
- Deep understanding of data-center operations, CPU/GPU/NPU compute architectures, and AI infrastructure from silicon through orchestration
- Expert knowledge of distributed systems and data storage in resource-constrained, remote, or denied environments
- Mastery of Go, C++, or Rust and understanding of software interaction with physical compute hardware and non-terrestrial networking layers
- Ability to collaborate with external partners to develop technical solutions that drive adoption and industry standards
- Preferred: expertise in networking-stack optimization for satellite and terrestrial mesh networks
- Preferred: experience or interest in orbital mechanics, radiation-tolerant software, or space-based communication protocols
- Preferred: experience building Day 2 operations for thousands of remote distributed devices in harsh environments
