Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support software for digital radiography and computed tomography equipment.
- Create technical design, implementation, training, presentation, technical report, and patent application materials.
- Use Visual Studio, GitHub, coding agents, and issue and task tracking tools to implement software solutions.
- Develop and support interfaces for X-ray detectors, X-ray sources, optical cameras, motion components, and robots.
- Support engineering and planning activities and complete additional assignments from the supervisor.
- Present the internship project and contributions to NSI business leaders at the end of the summer.
Requirements
- Be a college junior or senior pursuing an Engineering degree with at least a 3.0 GPA.
- Have technical skills in C++, Python, or C# and experience or familiarity with AI agents such as Cursor and Claude.
- Have GUI design experience with WinForms or WPF.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Demonstrate eagerness to learn, initiative, leadership, and teamwork experience.
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Preferred qualifications include GPU programming with CUDA or OpenCL, 3D graphics with OpenGL, image analysis, computer vision, computed tomography, and data science.
