Responsibilities
- Design vital software components and features across product teams.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
- Develop and maintain software using Elixir, React, and React Native.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering standards.
- Optimize performance, refactor legacy systems, and maintain backward and forward compatibility.
- Build IoT and hardware integrations for locks, intercoms, fobs, access control, device onboarding, credentials, and audit logs.
- Develop Elixir-based services and REST or GraphQL APIs for internal and third-party integrations.
- Build web interfaces, mobile applications, offline functionality, scheduling interfaces, and real-time analytics dashboards.
- Develop NLP-powered search, automate task triggers, and improve maintenance workflows and user retention.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- 4–6 years of software development experience involving cloud messaging APIs, push notifications, Azure DevOps, Git, build pipelines, CI/CD, JavaScript, AngularJS, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, C++, C#, Python, MySQL, jQuery, web services, RESTful APIs, and modern frameworks such as React or React Native.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks such as React or React Native.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous requests.
- Familiarity with Git and modern build pipelines such as Webpack and Babel.
- Experience or interest in secure, scalable IoT access solutions, Elixir or Node.js APIs, device communication, credential management, and audit logging as applicable to the team.
- Experience with foundational infrastructure, event processing, REST or GraphQL APIs, and high-volume IoT event systems as applicable to the team.
- Experience with mobile development, React Native, offline functionality, NLP-powered search, workflow automation, or legacy interface modernization as applicable to the team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Preferred: TypeScript experience; familiarity with unit and integration testing frameworks such as Jest; and knowledge of Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
