Responsibilities
- Develop the overarching architecture of Fressnapf’s cloud-based IT landscape.
- Drive adoption of Java-based microservices, Azure, Confluent Kafka, and integration with the SAP landscape.
- Translate business requirements into architectural specifications and robust technical solutions.
- Define architecture standards, patterns, and procedures with other architects.
- Document solutions, coordinate them with stakeholders, and support implementation.
- Develop proof-of-concept projects and evaluate technical and business trade-offs, including make-versus-buy decisions.
Requirements
- Broad methodological knowledge and the ability to analyze, document, and present requirements and solutions clearly.
- Experience with architectural modeling approaches or tools such as C4, Structurizr, PlantUML, or Mermaid.
- Proven experience with interface definitions such as OpenAPI or Avro and integration of complex systems, including SAP-related systems.
- Several years of experience in software development and software architecture is preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills and good proficiency in German.
- Independent ownership, strong communication, structured decision-making, and a team-oriented approach.
