Responsibilities
- Act as the software expert for software and computer-related issues reported from customer e-beam machines.
- Analyze field feedback, diagnose symptoms, identify root causes, and provide troubleshooting recommendations.
- Develop diagnostic and automation tools for log collection, system health checks, issue reproduction, data analysis, and root-cause investigation.
- Develop internal module test software for communication, test execution, result analysis, and validation workflows.
- Contribute to module communication, image-processing, image-algorithm validation, backend, and integration software where applicable.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code and collaborate with Field, equipment, architecture, application, and software teams.
- Improve diagnostics workflows, tool usability, and knowledge transfer between D&E and Field teams.
- Establish, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux environments for engineering software, diagnostic tools, and test applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or an equivalent field.
- At least 10 years of professional software development experience, preferably in equipment, diagnostics, automation, test software, or engineering tool development.
- Strong hands-on programming experience with Python and C++.
- Experience with at least one GUI framework or library, such as Qt, PySide, WinForms, WPF, or similar.
- Experience or exposure to image algorithms, image processing, and general algorithms.
- Familiarity with RS232, Ethernet, PCIe, and related communication concepts.
- Basic understanding of Windows and Linux driver concepts, device communication, and system-level troubleshooting.
- Experience with Git-based development workflows and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, software design, implementation, collaboration, and ownership skills.
