Base Salary
$101k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assist with secure software and hardware system architecture for mission-critical platforms and infrastructure.
- Integrate security requirements throughout the software development lifecycle and document secure engineering standards.
- Conduct threat modeling, cybersecurity risk assessments, attack-surface analysis, and mitigation planning.
- Support RMF, ATO, eMASS, security control documentation, SSPs, audits, assessments, and accreditation activities.
- Design security testing activities, coordinate penetration testing, validate remediation, and support system hardening.
- Collaborate with Software, Embedded, Hardware, DevSecOps, Infrastructure, Security Operations, government, customer, and program teams.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, product security, application security, or related engineering roles.
- Experience with software security design, secure system architecture, threat modeling, risk assessments, SSDLC practices, and application security.
- Knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, and DFARS, plus experience with ATO processes, security documentation, and eMASS management.
- Experience securing embedded systems, sensor platforms, or edge computing technologies.
- Knowledge of cryptographic systems, key management, and key handling standards.
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to work in government facilities and handle sensitive information; ability to obtain required security clearances.
- Preferred qualifications include an active security clearance, defense or aerospace experience, firmware or BIOS/UEFI security experience, TPM and secure boot knowledge, supply chain security knowledge, and certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, GSEC, or Security+.
